Beth Cozens is a self-taught photographer and creative who has a vast portfolio of work featuring different styles of photography including landscapes, portraiture, street photography and commissioned work. She particularly enjoys capturing images with a nostalgic feel to them, frequently using analogue techniques and a signature editing style within a lot of her shoots.
She was first introduced to photography as a child by her mother who practised the art as a hobby in her spare time. Beth was gifted a camera at the age of 7 and since then, has held a special love for photography. Growing up, she studied photography in high-school alongside educating herself on manual techniques and further skills to develop her personal skills.
After being diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in early 2022, she was unable to continue her plans of advancing to further education, aiming to study photography at the University of the Arts London. Realising this was no longer possible for her due to her medical conditions, she decided to work towards becoming a freelance creative and building her skills over time through self-teaching. Though possibly a harder journey,  she is actively building skills and growing her business individually and enjoys doing so. She wants to prove that a further education isn't dependant on success in the creative field.
Her style of work can be described as nostalgic, magical and comforting. Capturing simple moments and revealing the often unrecognised beauty of them is her strongest asset. Beth is largely inspired by cinematics from film-making and aims to create images that will make anyone feel they are looking at a scene from a film.
Aside from photography, Beth also writes poetry and tries her hand at various art mediums including creating magazines, drawing and more. She has a goal to eventually release a book featuring a combination of writing and imagery to tell a feminine, hazy and nostalgic story that will inspire young women and writers.
